Bronx Community College of the City University of New York (CUNY) as the lead institution, partners with University Heights High School, Hostos Community College, and Lehman College to create a wide network of public schools that begin a discussion of a comprehensive needs analysis based on the collective experience of the partnership.  The individual partners bring to the table the accumulated strength of their own struggle toward quality learning for their students.  The MSP-Start planning grant provides the forum in which intensive collective attention is focused on how individual strengths, existing successful solutions for focused problems, and the power of the group can be utilized to create a seamless whole that functions to effect change, systematically addressing known and diagnosed deterrents and challenges to learning.
